The BMW M2 is a high performance version of the BMW 2 Series which is developed by BMW's M Division. The 2 Series was introduced as the replacement for the 1 Series Coupe and Convertible Models. The First Generation M2 utilized the F8X chassis from the M3/M4 known internally as the F87. The Original BMW M2 used the BMW N55 Engine while the BMW M2 Competition and M2 CS used BMW M's S55 engine. The OG M2 engine; The 3.0L Turbocharged Inline-6 known as the N55 produces 365 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque. While the 3.0L Twin Turbo Inline-6 known as the S55 engine in the M2 Competition produces 405 Horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The Base M2 goes from 0-60 in 4.3 Seconds while the M2 Competition goes from 0-60 in 4 Seconds. The EPA estimates that the M2 Competition earns 18 MPG in the City and 25 MPG on the Highway.
