The 1964 model was the final year for the third-generation Impala. It featured a more refined, slightly flatter, and more squared-off profile than the 1961–1963 models. It retained the signature six-taillight rear setup. It sits on a 119-inch wheelbase with an overall length of about 210 inch. Cabins were spacious and comfortable, featuring a stylish metal dash, bench seating in standard sedans, and options for upgraded fabrics, a radio, and air conditioning. They were powered by a Base engine V6, Small block V8 or 409 V8. The '64 Impala is widely considered the holy grail for the lowrider culture. Its rigid X-frame made it an ideal platform for hydraulic suspension setups, wire wheels, and custom paint. It remains heavily featured in hip-hop music, films, and classic car collections as an enduring symbol of 1960s Americana.This Impala decodes as a 1964 Impala w/V8 and 4 Door Hardtop built in California. It was purchased by our customer, reportedly from the Original owner in 2021 due to a relocation. It has been repainted, we believe the rest of the car is original. It runs and drives beautifully and was driven 25 miles to my shop this summer during a 94 degree scorcher. No problems upon arrival, everything was smooth.
