The W220 S-Class replaced the the W140 S-Class after 1998. The W220 S-Class was introduced in 1999 in the United States for the 2000 Model year. Despite being smaller and lighter than the previous generation, the W220 offered more interior space. The S500 came standard with Mercedes' air suspension known as Airmatic. Other new additions to the W220 Model is the Navigation System with its center-console mounted screen display and it's input control system which is known as COMAND. The S-Class seats are not only heated but they are fitted with 10 small fans that blow cool air through the upholstery. There is also an optional massage seat which is equipped with air bladders in the lower back and shoulder areas. The W220 model S-Class is vastly improved compared to the previous generation. It is roomier, faster, lighter, more efficient and far more sophisticated. We purchased this 2000 Mercedes-Benz S500 out of California due to the condition of this Mercedes and it having only 47k Miles. This S500 has all original Mercedes-Benz paint except on the Rear Right door there has been a paint repair which was blended into the rear fender. This S500 has great service history and the last service that was performed was Engine Mounts, Oil Change, Brake Fluid and an Inspection at 46k Miles on 04/21/2023. This Mercedes-Benz S500 has been very well taken care of and the trim, upholstery and paint are all in great condition. This Mercedes S500 had an MSRP of $82.5k with $5k in optional equipment including; S1 Audio Package, S3 Comfort Package, Heated/Ventilated/Massage Multi-Contour Seats, and Bose Surround Sound.
